“Bikinis, Brains, And Boogeymen” Coming To The 2015 Ottawa Comiccon

I’m beyond ecstatic to announce that I’ll be attending this year’s Ottawa Comiccon, taking place from May 8th to the 10th! I’ll be giving a workshop entitled “Bikinis, Brains, And Boogeymen: How To Write Realistic Women In Horror,” which I gave at the 2014 Montreal Comiccon.

The presentation is for people who are looking to craft dynamic female characters for works of horror, but aren’t sure where to start. It talks about tropes to avoid and questions to consider when building your heroines and villainesses, while also offering some generalized character building techniques that can be used for any genre of work. So even if you’re looking to write a male lead for a fantasy RPG, this workshop can help you figure out how.

”Bikinis, Brains, And Boogeymen” will be taking place on Sunday, May 10th, in meeting room B, at 3:15 p.m.

Hope to see you there!
