Heeere’s Johnny… Well, Sort Of

Wow… it’s been way too long since I’ve updated here. Sorry folks!

So far 2016 has been a crazy year, and it looks like it’s just going to get crazier as time goes on, so now’s as good a time to update everyone as ever.

I’m pleased to say my dear friend and I gave a workshop at the 2016 Ottawa Comiccon, back at the end of May, to a full house. The workshop was on Fanfiction, although the writing techniques discussed can apply to all kinds of genres too, and you guys can look forward to seeing it being offered again a little later this year in Montreal. So I hope to see a few of you there!

I also wanted to give a big shout-out to everyone who came to Chapters Pointe-Claire for the book signing of The Women In Horror Annual. It was an incredible success, all 20 books sold out (I couldn’t believe it!), and I really appreciate everyone turning out for the event. It really meant the world to me.

I also wanted to thank everyone who helped make the Shadows At The Door Anthology possible. The project was fully funded and I can’t wait for you to see the amazing stories in this collection, not to mention the incredible art and audio work, come the end of this year. The anthology was co-edited by Mark Nixon (founder of Shadows At The Door, which you should all seriously check out), Kris Holt (he just released his first book, What Comes From The Earth, and it’s definitely worth a read), and myself. So a tremendous thank you to everyone who helped make this project come to life.

And lastly, a few updates. I may be a bit MIA for the month of June, but you can expect me back with a vengeance come July. Holt and I have an exciting new project we hope you’ll all enjoy, and I can’t wait to share more about it with you guys in just a few weeks. Also, keep your eyes peeled for a new and (hopefully) terrifying story of mine slated to come out this July.

Guess that’s it for now.

Happy writing!
